“You have a home in Pangasinan forever,” Vice Governor Jose Ferdinand Calimlim, Jr. declared during the blessing, inauguration, and formal turn-over ceremony of two-storey Pangasinan Girl Scout Council Headquarters at the Capitol Compound, Lingayen Pangasinan, on November 28, 2013. Vice-Governor Calimlim represented Governor Amado Espino Jr. on this momentous occasion.
The program began with the unveiling of the marker and cutting of the ribbon by Vice Gov. Calimlim and GSP National President Salud A. Bagalso, M.D., assisted by the Chairperson, Northern Luzon Region, Dr. Amparo Rimas; GSP Assistant National Executive Director Myra Diokno-Sarmenta; Regional Executive Director, Northern Luzon Region, Laila Morales, and Pangasinan GSP Council Board Members. Rev. Fr. Francis Posadas from the Epiphany of our Lord Parish blessed the new building.
Pangasinan Council Executive Eufemia de Guzman accepted the keys of the new building from Vice Governor Calimlim.
The new GSP Headquarters of Pangasinan Council was constructed under the administration of Governor Amado Espino, Jr. through the initiative of Pangasinan Central Board members headed by the Council President Dr. Perla Cornel, and the Properties and Building Committee Chairperson Irene Libunao.
