CGS CHEVERLY MAE E. SIAPNO

“Ate Chief nyo, graduate na! ??

In 7th grade, I only had 2 badges and an empty sash. The years that followed were history.

I started my Chief Girl Scout Medal Scheme journey in 2018, with the project "Beautification and Utilization of the Nursery in Barangay Subaan". In the following year, I celebrated my birthday with a tree planting activity "60+ Trees for the 16 years". That year was one of the highlights of my scouting journey: elected as the Chairman/Editor-in-chief of the Junior Journalists Guild of Oriental Mindoro Council; awarded as a Chief Girl Scout Medalist at the PICC; delegate to the 42nd National Encampment in Dipolog City, Zamboanga Del Notre.

But, Year 2020 was the highlight of my 'Online' Girl Scout legacy. When the quarantine started, we weren't able to have physical activities, but as Girl Scouts, we managed to still continue to serve others.

Girl Scouting enabled me to meet and socialize with other people from all over the country and the world. I'm so grateful for all of the opportunities that had come my way and the doors that opened for me because of Girl Scouting. I may have lost count of my badges, campings that I joined, and trainings that I attended; but, I will always remember that all of these happened because I am a Girl Scout.

Thank you Girl Scouts of the Philippines!

This is me your Chief, Ate Chev, saying 'all the best palagi' and graduate na ang Ate Chief nyo! ?✨
