Opportunities to help and be helped are things to be cherished. Helping other people is always humbling and heartwarming. Helping people make each and everyone happy.

On January 19, 2020, the Girl Scouts and Troop Leaders of Iligan City Girl Scout Council reached out to the fire victims of Purok Hinalinan, Barangay Tubod, Iligan City. Through a goods fund drive, donors shared clothes, shoes, socks, handkerchief, noodles, canned goods, and tumblers, among others.

The outreach was not just an occasion for giving donations. We experienced bonding, playing, and chatting with the children in the area who were also victims of the fire. By sharing what we have, we were able to put smile on their faces and make them happy.

Life is not always about receiving. More importantly, it is about giving and sharing what we can offer.

By our good deeds, we add meaning to other people’s life.
