GSP Announces Poster Making Contest Winners

Artwork by Sr. GS ARIANE S. GUINTIBANO from South Cotabato Council in Eastern Mindanao Region won “Best of the best” on the GSP on-the-spot poster making contest.

This contest carry out the theme, “Once a Girl Scout, Always a Girl Scout: Celebrating 75 Years of Service.”

Finalists were Sr. GS Carina Pitogo from Cagayan Council, Northern Luzon Region; Sr. GS Mell Kimberly B. Benitez from Albay Council, Southern Luzon Region; Sr. GS Kaeselle D. Sagayap from Calbayog Council, Visayas Region; Sr. GS Zaqia P. Dimaporo from Maguindanao Council, Western Mindanao Region; and Jr. GS Heidilyn D. Samar from Makati City Council, Central Luzon Region.

The judging at the Josefa Llanes Escoda Hall, National Headquarters on May 23, 2013 was conducted by three professional artists: Sammuel Arboleda Occeno and Mutya Teodoro-Sambile, both pursuing M.A. in Fine Arts and Design at the Philippine Women’s University; and Benedict Edward T. Manalo, a Fine Arts Graduate from the University of Santo Tomas and Creative Director of Mustasa Republic.

The winner and the finalists will be given cash prizes and certificate of recognition during the respective Regional Committee meetings.

All the winning posters will be utilized for the Diamond Jubilee celebrations in May 2015.
