GSP Staff Holds post-Escoda Day Ceremony in Honor of Founder



The GSP National Headquarters staff held a post-Escoda Day Ceremony last Tuesday, September 23, to honor their great founder, Josefa Llanes Escoda, on her 116th Birth Anniversary.

The staff memorialized the heroic deeds of Mrs. Escoda by recalling her life as a daughter, a mother, a wife, a civic leader, and founder of Girl Scouting in the Philippines.  The ceremony was allured with candle lighting followed by the singing of the Escoda Hymn.

The professional staff also donated amount to the Escoda Memento Fund to support the participation of girl and adult delegates of the GSP in international projects/events.

The celebration culminated with a wreath-laying ceremony at her monument in front of the GSP National Headquarters on Padre Faura Street, Ermita, Manila
