Nineteen staff from the National Headquarters and Regional Office attended the Age Level Course for GSP Staff held last February 23-25 at the Helena Z Benitez National Program and Training Center in Tagaytay City.
The three-day training aimed to enable the GSP staff to have a better understanding of the GSP Program Framework to help them perform their jobs more effectively and to prepare them to take on other roles and responsibilities in the organization as troop leaders, trainers, camping specialists and resource persons.
The Training Team was composed of Southern Luzon Regional Executive Director and concurrently Assistant National Executive Director for Human Resource and Administration Rebecca Basañes, National Training Committee Member Juliet Gumpal, Laguna Council Executive Ma. Eileen Reyes, and National Program Director Ginnie Oribiana who was on test for her Trainers Credentials.
The opening ceremonies was graced by National President Dr. Salud Bagalso who in her welcome greetings expressed happiness that the staff, being the vision of hope, allow themselves to continue learning to ensure that girl scouting legacy in the Philippines is perpetuated.
At the end of the training, each participant was asked to make a Commitment. The closing ceremonies was highlighted by the significant dropping of their Commitment in the basket before receiving their training certificates. National Training Committee Vice Chairperson Dr. Fe Violeta Taring imparted an inspiring message and motivation on the power of a team and characteristics of a good work ethic in her Thoughts to Bring Home.
